Carta de Domino| “Y si fuéramos más…”
Querida familia rotaria:
Esta semana quiero invitarles a una reflexión sencilla pero poderosa:
¿Qué pasaría si nuestro club tuviera tres socios más?
No hablo de convertirnos en un club enorme o impersonal, sino de imaginar por un momento lo que podríamos lograr si sumáramos tres manos, tres corazones, tres voces nuevas a nuestro equipo. Un pequeño crecimiento… que puede hacer una gran diferencia.
Muchos clubes en nuestra región se mantienen en la misma cantidad de socios año tras año, o van perdiendo algunos lentamente. Y es normal que la vida nos mueva, que haya rotación. Pero si no tenemos una estrategia intencional de crecimiento, estamos condenados a disminuir. Aunque nos guste el tamaño actual del club, aunque estemos cómodos… el tiempo y la realidad nos exigen más que comodidad: nos exigen visión.
Lo he escuchado muchas veces:
“Estamos bien así”,
“Aquí todos nos conocemos”,
“Nuestro grupo es estable”.
Y sí, eso tiene su valor. Pero también tiene su riesgo. Porque mientras nos conformamos con el presente, podemos estar dejando morir el futuro.
Cuando traemos nuevos socios, traemos nuevas ideas, nuevas energías, talentos distintos, oportunidades frescas. Crecemos no solo en número, sino en diversidad, impacto y sostenibilidad.
Y eso no se logra con discursos. Se logra con una cultura de invitar, con abrir espacios, con dejar de pensar en “el club que fue” para construir “el club que puede ser”.
Querido lector, ¿eres tú la persona dispuesta a liderar ese cambio en tu club?
¿Puedes tenderle la mano a alguien nuevo esta semana y decirle: “Acompáñame a una reunión, quiero que veas lo que hacemos”?
Porque crecer no es llenar una lista.
Es llenar de vida nuestra causa.

Sunday Letter | “What If We Were Just a Few More…”
Dear Rotary family,
This week, I’d like to invite you to a simple yet powerful reflection:
What would happen if our club had just three more members?
I’m not talking about becoming a huge, impersonal club. I’m simply inviting you to imagine what we could achieve if we added three more hands, three more hearts, three new voices to our team. A small growth… that could make a big difference.
Many clubs in our region remain the same size year after year or are slowly losing a few members. And that’s understandable—life happens, people come and go. But if we don’t have an intentional growth strategy, we’re bound to shrink. Even if we’re comfortable with the current size of our club, even if we’re doing fine… time and reality ask more of us than just comfort: they ask for vision.
I’ve heard it many times:
“We’re fine the way we are,”
“We all know each other here,”
“Our group is stable.”
Yes, that has its value. But it also comes with a risk. Because while we cling to the present, we might be letting the future slip away.
When we welcome new members, we bring in new ideas, new energy, different talents, and fresh opportunities. We grow not just in number but in diversity, impact, and sustainability.
And this doesn’t happen with speeches. It happens by creating a culture of invitation, by opening space, by letting go of the idea of “the club that was” to build “the club that can be.”
Dear reader, are you the one willing to lead that change in your club?
Could you reach out to someone this week and say, “Come with me to a meeting—I want you to see what we do”?
Because growth isn’t about filling a list.
It’s about filling our cause with new life.
