**Carta de Domingo: **Preparándonos para Liderar: El Camino del PELS y las Asambleas Distritales
Cada año, Rotary nos brinda la oportunidad de prepararnos para el liderazgo con herramientas que fortalecen nuestras habilidades y conocimientos. En este proceso de formación, los Seminarios de Capacitación para Presidentes Electos (PELS, por sus siglas en inglés) y las Asambleas Distritales juegan un papel fundamental. Son espacios diseñados para que los líderes entrantes comprendan sus responsabilidades, se alineen con los objetivos de Rotary y se inspiren con el mensaje del año rotario: «Unidos para hacer el Bien».
Bajo la organización de la Gobernadora Electa Eugenia Echeverría y su equipo, estos seminarios representan el inicio de un ciclo de formación que busca empoderar a los Presidentes Electos para que puedan guiar con éxito sus clubes y fortalecer el impacto de Rotary en nuestras comunidades. La participación activa en estas sesiones no es solo una recomendación, sino una necesidad para todo aquel que desee ejercer un liderazgo efectivo y alineado con la visión de Rotary.
El calendario de PELS y Asambleas Distritales ha sido estructurado de la siguiente manera:
El Salvador: 21 de marzo (PELS) y 22 de marzo (Asamblea Distrital)
Costa Rica: 5 de abril (PELS) y 6 de abril (Asamblea Distrital)
Nicaragua (Virtual): 26 de abril (PELS) y 27 de abril (Asamblea Distrital)
Panamá: 10 de mayo (PELS) y 11 de mayo (Asamblea Distrital)
Estos encuentros no solo brindarán conocimientos técnicos sobre la administración y gestión de un club rotario, sino que también ofrecerán un espacio para compartir experiencias, generar redes de colaboración y motivar a los líderes a asumir con entusiasmo el reto de servir.
La formación de un líder rotario no termina en el nombramiento, sino que se construye con preparación y compromiso. El PELS es la oportunidad ideal para conocer en profundidad la estructura de Rotary, los planes estratégicos y las herramientas que facilitarán la labor de cada Presidente Electo. Asimismo, las Asambleas Distritales permitirán que los equipos de trabajo de cada país se alineen con la visión del distrito, generando una base sólida para el año rotario que se avecina.
Queridos Presidentes Electos, este es su momento de aprendizaje y crecimiento. Es tiempo de fortalecer sus habilidades, de inspirarse con la visión de Rotary y de prepararse para liderar con determinación. La clave del éxito de sus clubes estará en el conocimiento que adquieran y en la pasión que impriman en su servicio. Participen activamente, pregunten, compartan y, sobre todo, asuman con entusiasmo el gran reto de guiar a sus clubes bajo el lema «Unidos para hacer el Bien».

**Sunday Letter: **Preparing to Lead: The Path of PELS and District Assemblies
Every year, Rotary gives us the opportunity to prepare for leadership with tools that strengthen our skills and knowledge. In this training process, the President-Elect Training Seminars (PELS) and District Assemblies play a fundamental role. These are spaces designed for incoming leaders to understand their responsibilities, align with Rotary’s objectives, and be inspired by the year’s Rotary theme: «United to Do Good».
Under the organization of Governor-Elect Eugenia Echeverría and her team, these seminars mark the beginning of a training cycle aimed at empowering Presidents-Elect so they can successfully lead their clubs and strengthen Rotary’s impact in our communities. Active participation in these sessions is not just a recommendation but a necessity for anyone who wishes to exercise effective leadership aligned with Rotary’s vision.
The PELS and District Assembly schedule is structured as follows:

The formation of a Rotary leader does not end with the appointment; it is built through preparation and commitment. PELS is the perfect opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Rotary’s structure, strategic plans, and tools that will facilitate the work of each President-Elect. Likewise, the District Assemblies will allow each country’s work teams to align with the district’s vision, creating a solid foundation for the upcoming Rotary year.
Dear Presidents-Elect, this is your moment for learning and growth. It is time to strengthen your skills, be inspired by Rotary’s vision, and prepare to lead with determination. The success of your clubs will depend on the knowledge you acquire and the passion you bring to your service. Participate actively, ask questions, share, and above all, embrace with enthusiasm the great challenge of leading your clubs under the theme «United to Do Good».
