Carta de Domingo : Cerrando el Año con Compromiso y Acción
Queridos amigos Rotarios,
A medida que avanzamos en la segunda mitad del año Rotario, es momento de reflexionar sobre los compromisos que hemos asumido y las acciones que aún requieren de nuestro esfuerzo. Nuestro trabajo en Rotary no se mide solo por las metas alcanzadas, sino también por nuestra capacidad de dar seguimiento y asegurar el cumplimiento de aquellas iniciativas que fortalecen a nuestros clubes y comunidades.
Fortalecimiento de Clubes con Baja Membresía Hemos hablado de la importancia de apoyar a los clubes con menos de 15 socios. La creación de Clubes Satélites sigue siendo una opción viable y debemos incentivarla. Asimismo, es crucial continuar con la búsqueda de nuevos socios de manera inclusiva y diversa para garantizar el crecimiento sostenible de Rotary.
Revista Distrital: Pago de Cuota Reducida La transición a una versión digital de la revista distrital nos permite reducir costos, pero también requiere de nuestra colaboración. Agradecemos a los clubes que ya han realizado el pago de US$6.00 por socio y solicitamos a los restantes agilizar esta gestión para completar la transferencia a Guatemala.
Compromiso con la Fundación Rotaria No olvidemos la responsabilidad de los miembros de la Sociedad Polio Plus de donar US$100.00 anuales. Asimismo, revisemos aquellos socios que están cerca de alcanzar la categoría de Donante Mayor (US$10,000.00 en donaciones) para reconocer su contribución en la Conferencia Bi Distrital.
Patrocinio de Clubes Rotaract Universitarios e Interact en Colegios El crecimiento de Rotary depende de la inversión en las nuevas generaciones. Instamos a los clubes a considerar el patrocinio de Clubes Rotaract en universidades y Clubes Interact en colegios, creando así un semillero de líderes para el futuro.
Asistencia a la Conferencia Bi Distrital Nuestra meta es aportar 200 participantes para garantizar el éxito financiero del evento. Es una cifra alcanzable y necesaria para fortalecer nuestra red de contactos y compartir experiencias con nuestros compañeros Rotarios de Centroamérica.
Fortalecimiento de los COPRES Los Comites de Presidentes (COPRES) son clave para la comunicación y el intercambio de ideas en cada país. Debemos garantizar reuniones mensuales híbridas para facilitar la participación. En junio, cada COPRES debe realizar una sesión de transición con los nuevos líderes y compartir las resoluciones aprobadas que requieren continuidad.
Convenciones Nacionales Para asegurar el éxito de estos eventos, algunos países han adoptado una cuota equitativa del 15% de los socios de cada club. Este respaldo financiero permite que el club sede tenga los recursos necesarios para organizar una convención de calidad.
Conferencia de Distrito Obtener patrocinios para la Conferencia Bi Distrital es un reto creciente. Como solución, algunos países han propuesto una contribución de US$25.00 por socio cuando la conferencia se realiza en su país. Esta medida garantiza fondos iniciales para la reserva del hotel y otros gastos esenciales.
Concursos de la Prueba Cuádruple Pronto se enviarán las bases para los concursos de Pintura, Oratoria y Video. Cada club será responsable de su organización y de otorgar premios a los ganadores.
RYLA: Impactando a Más Jóvenes Queremos ampliar el impacto del RYLA realizando un evento por país y reduciendo el rango de edad a 15-20 años, buscando así atraer a jóvenes líderes en la comunidad y miembros de Interact.
Feria de Proyectos El costo de participación es de US$100.00 por club e incluye la mesa de exhibición, el salón para presentaciones y la traducción simultánea. Es fundamental llenar el formulario y enviarlo cuanto antes para que los CADRE evalúen los proyectos y los hagan más atractivos para patrocinadores. Formulario: https://forms.gle/ttCYbugTYq1vAqhD8
Cada una de estas iniciativas representa un compromiso que asumimos al inicio de este año Rotario. Ahora es momento de reforzar nuestra determinación, dar seguimiento y cumplir con nuestras metas. Juntos, podemos cerrar este ciclo con la satisfacción del deber cumplido y sentar las bases para un futuro aún más prometedor.

Sunday Letter: Closing the Year with Commitment and Action
Dear Rotarian Friends,
As we move into the second half of the Rotary year, it is time to reflect on the commitments we have made and the actions that still require our effort. Our work in Rotary is not only measured by the goals we have achieved but also by our ability to follow through and ensure the success of initiatives that strengthen our clubs and communities.
Strengthening Clubs with Low Membership
We have discussed the importance of supporting clubs with fewer than 15 members. The creation of Satellite Clubs remains a viable option, and we must encourage it. Additionally, it is crucial to continue seeking new members in an inclusive and diverse manner to ensure Rotary’s sustainable growth.
District Magazine: Reduced Fee Payment
The transition to a digital version of the district magazine allows us to reduce costs but also requires our collaboration. We appreciate the clubs that have already paid the $6.00 per member fee and urge the remaining clubs to complete their payments promptly so we can finalize the transfer to Guatemala.
Commitment to The Rotary Foundation
Let us not forget the responsibility of Polio Plus Society members to donate $100.00 annually. Additionally, we should review members who are close to reaching the Major Donor level ($10,000.00 in donations) so we can recognize their contributions at the Bi-District Conference.
Sponsorship of University Rotaract and Interact Clubs in Schools
Rotary’s growth depends on investing in new generations. We encourage clubs to consider sponsoring University Rotaract Clubs and Interact Clubs in schools, creating a pipeline of future leaders.
Attendance at the Bi-District Conference
Our goal is to bring 200 participants to ensure the financial success of the event. This is an achievable and essential number to strengthen our network and share experiences with fellow Rotarians from across Central America.
Strengthening COPRES (Presidents’ Committees)
COPRES plays a key role in communication and idea exchange in each country. We must ensure monthly hybrid meetings to facilitate participation. In June, each COPRES should hold a transition session with the new leaders and share approved resolutions that require continuity.
National Conventions
To ensure the success of these events, some countries have adopted an equitable fee of 15% of each club’s membership. This financial support allows the host club to have the necessary resources to organize a high-quality convention.
District Conference
Securing sponsorships for the Bi-District Conference is becoming increasingly challenging. As a solution, some countries have proposed a $25.00 per member contribution when the conference is held in their country. This measure ensures initial funds for hotel reservations and other essential expenses.
Four-Way Test Contests
The guidelines for the Painting, Oratory, and Video contests will be sent soon. Each club will be responsible for organizing the competition and awarding prizes to the winners.
RYLA: Impacting More Young People
We aim to expand the impact of RYLA by hosting one event per country and lowering the age range to 15-20 years, thus attracting young community leaders and Interact members.
Project Fair
The participation fee is $100.00 per club, covering the exhibition table, presentation hall, and simultaneous translation. It is essential to complete and submit the registration form as soon as possible so that CADRE can evaluate the projects and make them more appealing to potential sponsors.

Each of these initiatives represents a commitment we made at the start of this Rotary year. Now is the time to reinforce our determination, follow through, and achieve our goals. Together, we can close this cycle with the satisfaction of a job well done and lay the foundation for an even more promising future.
