CARTA DE DOMINGO
Abril, el mes de las celebraciones
Queridos amigos rotarios:
Abril siempre ha sido un mes especial en mi vida, y este año, más que nunca, me he tomado un momento para celebrarlo en grande.
Para comenzar, este 21 de abril cumplo 61 años. ¡Sí, 61! Cómo pasa el tiempo… Recuerdo cuando, de joven, hacía cálculos y sumaba años para saber cuántos tendría en tal o cual fecha. Ahora, confieso con una sonrisa que quisiera restarlos (¡si tan solo se pudiera!). Pero celebro cada año vivido, cada aprendizaje, cada paso recorrido en esta aventura que es la vida.
Abril también me conecta profundamente con mi vocación como Gestor Cultural y Promotor de Arte. En este mes celebramos:
13 de abril – Mi cumpleaños rotario 
(¡12 años sirviendo!)- 15 de abril – Día Mundial del Arte
30 de abril – Día Internacional del Jazz
21 de abril – Día Mundial de la Creatividad e Innovación
22 de abril – Día de la Tierra
23 de abril – Día Mundial del Libro
29 de abril – Día Internacional de la Danza
¡Una verdadera constelación de celebraciones que me llenan de inspiración! 
Y por supuesto, cómo olvidar el 13 de abril de 2013, fecha en que oficialmente me convertí en rotario. Ya van 12 años desde que inicié este camino de servicio, y lo confieso, a veces sorprende a algunos que un socio con “tan pocos años” haya alcanzado la más alta posición del Distrito.
Ese es justamente el mensaje que quiero dejarles hoy:
No hay que esperar a estar en los últimos años de vida rotaria para aspirar a servir desde los más altos cargos.
Gobernar un distrito requiere energía, compromiso y disposición para recorrer cada rincón donde haya un club rotario. Y con las herramientas que hoy nos brinda la tecnología 
, es posible formarse, capacitarse y estar preparados para dar lo mejor de nosotros.
También es fundamental dar paso a las nuevas generaciones de rotarios. Sí, puede que se equivoquen. Pero en esas equivocaciones está también el crecimiento y el aprendizaje. Cada cargo, cada proyecto, cada error y cada acierto construyen el futuro de nuestra organización.
Celebro abril porque me recuerda quién soy, de dónde vengo, y hacia dónde voy.

April, the Month of Celebrations
Dear Rotarian friends,
April has always been a special month in my life, and this year, more than ever, I’ve taken a moment to truly celebrate it.
To start, this April 21st I turn 61 years old. Yes, 61! How time flies… I remember when I was younger, I used to do the math, adding up years to know how old I’d be in this or that future date. Now, I confess with a smile that I’d like to subtract them (if only I could!). But I celebrate every year lived, every lesson learned, every step taken in this great adventure we call life.
April also connects me deeply with my vocation as a Cultural Manager and Art Promoter. This month we celebrate:
April 13 – My Rotary birthday (12 years of service!)
April 15 – World Art Day April 30 – International Jazz Day April 21 – World Creativity and Innovation Day April 22 – Earth Day April 23 – World Book Day April 29 – International Dance Day
A true constellation of celebrations that fill me with inspiration!
And of course, I can’t forget April 13, 2013, the day I officially became a Rotarian. It’s been 12 years since I began this journey of service, and I’ll admit, some are surprised that someone with “so few years” in Rotary has reached the highest position in the District.
But that’s exactly the message I want to share today:
You don’t have to wait until your final Rotary years to aspire to serve in leadership roles.
Leading a district requires energy, commitment, and willingness to visit every club in the District. And thanks to the tools that technology offers us today , it’s possible to gain the knowledge and preparation needed to serve our fellow Rotarians effectively.
It’s also essential to give opportunities to the new generations of Rotarians. Yes, they may make mistakes. But in those mistakes lie growth and learning. Every role, every project, every error and every success helps build the future of our organization.
I celebrate April because it reminds me of who I am, where I come from, and where I’m going. And you? Which month holds special meaning for you?
