Carta de Domingo – Cumplir con los Valores y la Prueba Cuadruple
En Rotary somos una organización global dedicada al servicio humanitario y a la promoción de la paz, se fundamenta en valores arraigados que guían las acciones de sus miembros en todas las facetas de la vida. Estos valores, el compañerismo, la integridad, la diversidad, el servicio y el liderazgo, encapsulados en la Prueba Cuádruple, son un faro moral que ilumina el camino hacia la excelencia ética y el servicio desinteresado. Sin embargo, su relevancia trasciende las reuniones rotarias y se expande hacia cada interacción diaria de los rotarios, ejerciendo una influencia poderosa en la construcción de relaciones, la toma de decisiones y la resolución de conflictos.
La Prueba Cuádruple, compuesta por cuatro preguntas simples pero profundamente significativas, actúa como un filtro ético para evaluar la rectitud de nuestras acciones:
¿Es verdad?
¿Es justo para todos los involucrados?
¿Fomentará la buena voluntad y mejores amistades?
¿Será beneficioso para todos los involucrados?
Estas preguntas sirven como un recordatorio constante de la importancia de la honestidad, la equidad, la amistad y el beneficio mutuo en nuestras interacciones con los demás. Sin embargo, su aplicación va más allá de la sala de reuniones de Rotary; se extiende a cada decisión que tomamos y cada palabra que decimos en nuestra vida diaria.
El compañerismo, uno de los pilares de Rotary, se nutre de la práctica de estos valores en cada interacción. Es la construcción de conexiones auténticas basadas en la confianza, el respeto y la camaradería. Hablar y resolver diferencias sin recurrir a tácticas destructivas es otra manifestación de estos valores en acción. Esto implica escuchar activamente, considerar diferentes perspectivas y buscar soluciones que satisfagan las necesidades de todas las partes involucradas.
Además, la importancia de no emitir juicios sin haber escuchado a todas las partes involucradas es fundamental. Sunday Letter – Adhere to Values ??and the Four-Way Test
At Rotary we are a global organization dedicated to humanitarian service and the promotion of peace, based on deep-rooted values ??that guide the actions of its members in all facets of life. These values, collegiality, integrity, diversity, service and leadership, encapsulated in the Four-Way Test, are a moral beacon that illuminates the path to ethical excellence and selfless service. However, its relevance transcends Rotary meetings and expands into every daily interaction of Rotarians, exerting a powerful influence on relationship building, decision making and conflict resolution.
The Four-Way Test, composed of four simple but deeply meaningful questions, acts as an ethical filter to evaluate the rightness of our actions:
It’s true?
Is it fair to everyone involved?
Will it foster goodwill and better friendships?
Will it be beneficial for everyone involved?
These questions serve as a constant reminder of the importance of honesty, fairness, friendship, and mutual benefit in our interactions with others. However, its application goes beyond the Rotary meeting room; It extends to every decision we make and every word we say in our daily lives.
Fellowship, one of the pillars of Rotary, is nourished by practicing these values ??in every interaction. It is the building of authentic connections based on trust, respect and camaraderie. When we apply the Four-Way Test in our everyday relationships, we strengthen bonds of fellowship and promote an environment of mutual support and understanding.
